Our service to you
Every film we create as part of your package will be cinematically edited and colour graded to showcase your day in the most beautiful way it deserves. Our base package includes a Cinematic Highlight Film which is typically around 4 - 7 minutes and is ideal to show friends and family. Additional films such as a full day documentary edit or short teasers are optional extras.
We will tailor a package to your individual needs and budget providing you with a film that matches your personality and style. To keep costings simple, we offer our services at an hourly fee. Current rates are available on our website. This rate is based on the hours spent filming on your wedding day and includes all video editing, without hidden or extra charges.
IMPORTANT: Prices shown currently on the website may have changed since you booked so please refer to your personal email correspondence with us for your particular product fees.
Our commitment to you will include
- Filming of any occasion or formality of your choice within the agreed coverage*
- HD cinematic video recording with a dual camera setup.
- High quality audio recording using wireless lapel microphones.
- Full HD post production video editing and colour grading (performed in-house).
- A finished product within 8 weeks after your wedding date.
- Delivery of your videos in full HD quality on a personalized USB drive.
* examples of formalities to include:
- Preparation of the bride and/or groom
- Full ceremony with at least 2 camera angles
- Post ceremony photo shoot with bridal party at your location of choice
- Wedding reception including formalities such as bridal dance, cake cutting, speeches.
- Bride & groom's departure (guard of honour, sparkles exit, limousine departure)
Terms and Conditions
Reservation and liability. Upon receipt of the deposit, Westward Films will reserve the date of your wedding and will not schedule any event conflicting with the filming of your wedding. The deposit will be applied towards the total price of the agreed coverage package, the remainder of the balance is due no later than two weeks prior to scheduled event. Editing of the footage and delivery of the final product will only commence if the balance is received in full. The deposit is non-refundable if the event is cancelled by the client. The deposit is refundable only if circumstances beyond our control prevent us from recording your event, including but not limited to power failure, equipment malfunction or natural disasters. The deposit is refundable if Westward Films is able to make alternative reservations for that time and date. Under all circumstances, Westward Films’ liability is limited to a full refund of monies paid to Westward Films.
All packages include a total of 2 hours travel to and from the relevant locations. Travel time in excess of 2 hours is charged at $50 / hour. House rules. The client is responsible for securing the permission to record at the ceremony or reception venue. Westward films will not be liable for any production problems due to access restrictions. Westward Films will attempt to comply with all special requests made by the client, but cannot guarantee the acquisition of any particular angle, person, place, thing or situation. Westward Films cannot guarantee the acquisition of a particular angle, person, place, thing or situation under circumstances beyond our control including but not limited to power failure, unforeseen equipment malfunction or natural disasters. If circumstances beyond Westward Films' control including but not limited to power failure, unforeseen equipment malfunction, unforeseen personal injury or natural disasters, prevent the acquisition of the client's event, Westward Films shall refund all monies paid to the client and Westward Films shall not be held liable by the client. In signing this agreement, the client is acting as agent for all members of the party including family, friends, guests, and staff and grants Westward Films all rights for display, airing, exhibition, promotion, and advertising of images and video produced.
Standard delivery of the finished videos will be within 8 weeks of the event. No part of the video will be processed, edited or delivered until the balance is paid in full. If extra material such as photos or specifically requested music are to be added to the video than the delivery term will be 8 weeks from the moment this material is received by Westward Films from the client. Westward Films is not responsible for any materials lost or damaged while in possession of Westward Films or in transit beyond reasonable replacement costs. The finished product is a production of Westward Films and is intended for the client’s private home use only. Any commercial or non-commercial duplication without the written consent of Westward Films is in violation of Australian copyright law and is prohibited. All video and audio footage will be retained by Westward Films. Westward Films will not be responsible for future loss or damage after the fulfilment of the contract. Westward Films reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time for any reason. Should this contract be terminated by Westward Films, all monies paid will be refunded to the client.
